Hamburg/Mannheim. The internationally leading life-sciences company Eppendorf is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. Founded in 1945 in post-war Germany by Dr. Heinrich Netheler and Dr. Hans Hinz, the company made a revolutionary contribution to the advancement of laboratory technology in the 1960s with its products. Continuous expansion of its business areas and product portfolio has enabled the company to grow steadily and establish an international presence. The company has remained true to the founders’ mission of improving people’s living conditions.

On the occasion of the anniversary, Eppendorf commissioned H&C Stader to document its history. With creative input from our partner, semper smile Werbeagentur GmbH, a richly illustrated anniversary book was produced, telling the story of the Hamburg-based company’s journey from a scientific startup to a global player through founder biographies and several eyewitness interviews. The chronicle has now been published.
